The method used in this research is Design and Development (D&D) and in creating or developing products, researchers use the ADDIE model. The validation test results for interactive PowerPoint media from material experts showed a score of 3.6 in the "Very Feasible" category, while media experts gave a percentage of 3.9 in the "Very Feasible" category, and language experts gave a score of 3.3 in the "Decent" category. Therefore, interactive PowerPoint-based learning media is considered very feasible and meets the established standards. The results of the child's observations showed an N-Gain value of 0.8 in the "High" category with an N-Gain effectiveness interpretation of 84.6, including the "Effective" category. The results of the response test show that the average value of the recapitulation of responses from Teacher 1 and Teacher 2 shows a value of 3.8. It can be concluded that the media suitability assessment criteria developed are "Fully Implemented" which are effective for use in learning activities.
2024-07-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Ellyta Iman Della, Moh Hemli Ismail, Muh Asriadi AM https://smartpaud.uho.ac.id/index.php/journal/article/view/172 Ability to Recognize Pattern Concepts through Loose Parts Media for 4-5 Year Old Children 2024-08-22T16:16:52+00:00 Muh Asriadi AM muhasriadi@upi.edu Syahrini syahrini@upi.edu
This study explores the effect of loose parts media on improving pattern recognition in 4-5-year-olds at Nusa Indah Kindergarten, motivated by the need to find innovative approaches to enhance early childhood education. Early recognition of patterns is a fundamental cognitive skill that supports later academic learning, particularly in mathematics and literacy. Therefore, the objective of this research is to determine the effectiveness of loose parts media in fostering the development of pattern recognition skills among young children. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, gathering data through interviews with teachers and documentation of classroom activities. The results indicate that the use of loose parts media, which involves natural or everyday objects that children can manipulate, significantly enhances their ability to recognize and create patterns. The children engaged more deeply with the learning material, demonstrated improved focus, and exhibited a higher level of creativity in their responses. The study concludes that incorporating loose parts media into early childhood education provides a more interactive and effective method for addressing challenges related to pattern recognition. It also suggests that such media can make learning more enjoyable and meaningful, thereby fostering a positive attitude towards learning in young children. This research offers valuable insights for educators, emphasizing the importance of adopting innovative and child-centered teaching strategies to enhance cognitive development in early learners.
2024-07-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Muh Asriadi AM, Syahrini https://smartpaud.uho.ac.id/index.php/journal/article/view/173 The Effect of Brain Gym on Psychomotor Development in Preschool Children 2024-08-23T08:58:08+00:00 Enjela Lala Safrudin liadianayuningrum@almaata.ac.id Lia Dian Ayuningrum liadianayuningrum@almaata.ac.id Indah Wijayanti liadianayuningrum@almaata.ac.id
The development of children who are stimulated by their parents regularly and purposefully will develop faster than children who are not stimulated. Most parents do not really understand this, many parents think that if the child is not sick then the child does not experience health problems including growth and development. Stimulation using Brain Gym very important because this method can significantly improve children's brain performance and learning abilities. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an effect of Brain Gym the psychomotor development of children aged 3rd-6th years at Harapan Bangsa Playground Pandak and Masyithoh Kauman Kindergarten Bantul. The research technique used was a quasi-experiment with a total sample of 106 children divided into control and intervention groups. Data was collected using the Instrument of Developmental Achievement of Children aged-6th years. The data analysis used is the Mann Withney Test and after being given Brain Gym stimulation, the results of P value 0.000 are smaller than 0.05 (p-value <0.05), these results indicate that Brain Gym has a significant influence on psychomotor development in preschool children
2024-07-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Enjela Lala Safrudin, Lia Dian Ayuningrum , Indah Wijayanti https://smartpaud.uho.ac.id/index.php/journal/article/view/35 Implementation of Thematic Textbook Products Based on Augmented Reality 2023-01-28T16:34:56+00:00 Yuli Haryati yuliharyati@ecampus.ut.ac.id Eem Kurniasih ekurniasih@ecampus.ut.ac.id Ismartoyo ismartoyo@ecampus.ut.ac.id
Learning about the theme of self in kindergarten is often applied to book media such as text and two-dimensional images only.
